Ideas and Contributions

  • Devised the Gamma Formation.
  • Proposed Iota Phi's first Election Discussions.
  • Wrote the Long-Term Strategic Planning Committee into the bylaws, among other things in collaboration with Derek Ng.
  • Created the Iota Phi Chapter Risk Management Policy in Fall 2009.
  • Compiled and extended known records of Region X and Section 4 history.
  • Scoured Google, Shields Library, and pestered tons of alumni to research Iota Phi history.
  • Restructured, redesigned, and wrote and re-wrote much of Iota Phi Wiki in order to encourage Historians to do more than just collect pictures. Moreover, the Wiki was meant to be the ultimate resource for learning about the chapter's past and present, so that the chapter might improve upon itself. Development was meant to promote chapter transparency, frequent questioning of the status quo and overall active participation. In doing so, members should either remember the reasoning behind chapter policies and procedures, or change them to reflect current chapter culture.
  • Proposed Retention Chairs and recommends goal-setting.
  • Designed a hypothetical pledge program to encourage new ideas and membership development.
  • Devised the ExComm Crash Course in Fall 2009. Derek Ng co-hosted the first event.
