Definition

A stub is an article in need of expansion. An article marked as a stub should have a stub template like the following on the page:

You should mark an article as a stub if it contains little information, needs to be updated, or seems incomplete. If an article seems complete, you should unmark it by removing the stub template tag. To mark something as a stub, place a stub template tag at the top of an article.

Creating a Stub Template

If you feel that there are enough similar articles that the existing stubs don't apply to, then you should create a new one. To do this, create a new article called Template:Whatever-Stub. To make it easy on yourself, check an existing stub template like this one, copy the source, and replace text where you see fit.
