The Service Cow is an award presented to the active that completes the most service hours in a given term. The Service Cow first appeared in 1994 and was named Myron. It was passed on weekly to the active with the most service hours for the last week. At some point, the Service Cow's name became Sid. Sid the Service Cow. It now wears dog tags from its previous owners.

Its pledge counterpart is the Golden Slipper.

Trivia

  • In Spring 1991, prior to the Service Cow's creation, Historian Bella Fong created the Golden Fork award to give to the active who had completed the most service hours during a term. This award was a fork spray-painted gold. The award came from the old phrase, "Stick a fork in me, I'm done!"
