Theme: "Leadership, Friendship and Service Snowballed into One"
It was really frigging cold.
Reference Committee Meetings and workshops were held in the adjoining fashion center's empty space. This led to a bunch of pissed off designers.
The Banquet was held in the convention center several blocks away.
- Being Minneapolis there was an enclosed skyway all the way there, but it twisted and turned enough to make it feel like miles.
The 2000 Philadelphia bid gave out Hot Chocolate packets.

Re-elected Jack McKenzie president
Elected Dave Emery and Teri Sheets to the National Board
Elected Beth Tom to Region X Director.
- Yep, 3 National Board Members from Iota Phi, 2 of them from Close.
Split Region X into Region X and Region XI.

Roger feeling at home since there was, you know, white people.
- After watching Ernie be amazed at the masses of caucasians, Roger turned and said "Welcome to my World."
Roger met the woman who would eventually become his wife there.
The mad rush to get the hell out of Minneapolis on January 1st ahead of a major storm.

Ta and Ernie walking around the Mall of America for 3 continuous days, not seeing the same thing twice.
- Roger never made it there even though it is the only thing to do in Minneapolis in the Winter.
The Section 4 End of Convention party in the Hotel and the mass destruction of sobriety that ensued.
Learning how to smuggle people into the hotel on New Years Eve.
Ta and Ernie, trying to smuggle alcohol for a hotel party, realizing that liquor stores close after a certain time. They proceeded to drive to Wisconsin, where they were still unable to purchase alcohol.
Roger going out to the convenience store with a friend without a jacket in sub-zero weather because the store was a block away, and getting lost on the way there.
Ernie going out to the convenience store in sub-zero weather right after taking a hot shower. His hair froze over.
