The National Volunteer Conference is a biennial weekend-long Alpha Phi Omega event at which individuals meet for volunteer training and to celebrate the Fraternity. This is the only time the National Office dedicates solely for the training of Alpha Phi Omega's volunteers, and it is an opportunity to hear first hand the goals and objectives of the coming year. The National Volunteer Conference can be thought of as a “national volunteer staff meeting”. As volunteers, individuals would give many hours of effort helping chapters be “Beacons of Service” on their campuses. Consequently, the conference is a means of giving participants the training and the skills needed to be a successful volunteer, regardless of whether they are new volunteers or seasoned veterans.
