Brother Name

While not all that common at Iota Phi, this is a nickname bestowed upon a pledge that is generally what other members of the fraternity use when referring to them for the rest of their association with the fraternity. Historically, Eta Psi was one of the most prevalent users of Brother Names in Section 4.

While the name itself may seem innocuous, the story behind it usually relates to something embarrasing they did or said in the past, commonly while drunk.

Like any good nickname, you can't bestow it upon yourself.
