Gamma Formation

Gamma Formation is a general meeting seating assignment masterminded by Ashish Bhatt prior to the Fall 2009 term. Typically, ExComm would sit in the first two rows at meetings so they could quickly get to the front of the room to speak about their agendas. Thinking in terms of meeting efficiency, Ashish suggested that ExComm line up through the first row of Wellman 2, and the remaining officers would line up at the middle aisle seats in a formation that appeared to look like a capital Gamma. This way, officers could be reached quickly if someone had to speak with them, and they could quickly get out of their seats and to the front of the room without walking over people.
Trivia
- This seating arrangement was nicknamed "Gamma Formation" with the hope that someone would one day shout "ExComm! Gamma Formation!" during general meetings and hilarity would ensue. Hilarity never ensued.
