Individuals in charge of organizing Secret Week events, Secret Week gifts, as well as activation gifts. Each family has any number of family chairs (usually one to five) that work together to determine what the family will do, give during those specified times, and how to spend its members' money.

Family Chairs are selected by a number of ways. Sometimes via family elections, appointment by the previous chair, or simply consensus (convenient when only a few people are interested).

Family chair is a fairly demanding, but often underappreciated, position. For this reason, a lot of new actives will take on the position head-on, and the older actives won't do anything to stop them.

"It's one of the hardest jobs in APhiO-- Sorry, I can't say it's the hardest, I have been SVP before--but it's one of the hardest jobs in APhiO. And it's a completely thankless job, but we do it anyways. And it's the only way Secret Week ever happens." --Rachel Loh

Family chairs are NOT responsible for pairings, so do not try to convince them to give you a "good lil bro." They have no power over those decisions.
