Webmaster(s) are individuals appointed by Corresponding Secretaries to maintain the Iota Phi's website, iotaphi.org. Erik Staab's implementation of the website in Spring 2004 has resulted in its becoming a core means for carrying out chapter operations. Since then, the position of Webmaster has become increasingly important, as the chapter relies on them to fix any bugs and implement new tools to make chapter operations more efficient.

In Practice

  • Around the first meeting of Fall, Webmasters would encourage members to update their phone numbers and addresses on the website, since these may have changed by September due to people moving and graduating. This is important for service project and fellowship chairs so they do not use outdated information when contacting people about events.
  • As soon as new pledges are inducted, the Webmaster creates website accounts for each of them under a new pledge class.
  • At the first meeting of every term at which there are pledges, the Webmaster(s) explain how to log into the website and encourage people to update their roster information.
