The Super Secretaries Committee is chaired by the Press Secretaries, Recording Secretaries, and Corresponding Secretaries. Press secretaries are responsible for publicity while recording and corresponding secretaries are responsible for communication.
Duties of Press Secretaries
- Work in conjunction with pledge parents and/or the pledge parent committee to formulate an effective rush period
- Keep in contact with campus media (The California Aggie, Horizons Newsletter), community media (Sacramento Bee, Davis Enterprise, local television and radio), and fraternity media (Torch and Trefoil) to publicize large events (i.e. Santa-For-Kids or Picnic Day)
- To work in conjunction with the MU Information Desk to coordinate MU Display advertising rush or large events
- Create/Update/Maintain/Pick-up A-Frames to be placed in the appropriate places on campus, advertising rush or large events
Duties of Recording and Corresponding Secretaries
- Formulate and execute a communications program for informing actives, pledges, and alumni of chapter events
- Work to extend appropriate invitations to alumni, section, regional, and national staff, and other chapters to select chapter events
- To record and maintain chapter family trees
- Divide into subcommittees as deemed necessary by Secretary Committee chairs
