This award is presented to individuals who have done something special on a sectional level, and is given out during the Spring [[Sectionals]]. For example, individuals who may receive this award include members who have presented workshops at conferences, conference chairs, staff members, active alumni members, etc. This award allows for the section to recognize members who contribute their time to the section in their own way. These members are in a sense "Bright Spots" in our section because they show such great enthusiasm. Each chapter is asked to nominate members who are deserving of the award. Chapters are welcomed to talk to [http://www.aposection4.org section staff] and alumni and anyone else for help when coming up with nominees.
