Pledges are individuals who choose to undergo the pledging process as instated by the members of Iota Phi. Pledge Parents are in charge of this pledging program, and are the main contact for pledges while they are in this probationary period of membership.
The pledge program has four main objectives:
- To serve as an introduction to Alpha Phi Omega.
- To inform the pledge about our Fraternity, past and present.
- To allow the pledge to qualify in Leadership, Friendship, and Service.
- To give the pledge, and the chapter, a trial period during which the chapter can decide if it wants to invite the pledge to become a Brother and the pledge can decide if he/she wants to accept such an invitation.
