Regional conference refers to a multi-day event focused on workshops, developing ties throughout the region, developing the leadership and service potentials and resources of the chapters in attendance, and carrying out regional and sectional business at business meetings. Hosts for the region conference are selected by election during the region business meeting at each National Convention. Region conferences are held every odd-numbered year, so that in any given year there is a National or a Regional conference, not both. Some years, the Region conference is held in preference to a Fall Section Conference, although this is not always the case.
