Individuals in charge of organizing Secret Week events, Secret Week gifts, as well as activation gifts. Each family has any number of family chairs (usually two to five) that work together to determine what the family will do, give during those specified times, and how to spend its members' money.

A family chair is usually appointed by a previous family chair or, in the case nobody is appointed, any family member can step up and take the position.

Family chair is a fairly demanding, but often underappreciated, position. For this reason, a lot of new actives will take on the position head-on, and the older actives won't do anything to stop them.

Family chairs are NOT responsible for pairings, so do not try to convince them to give you a "good lil bro." They have no power over those decisions.
