Origin

The Random Friendly Line consists of all descendants of Youchen Wang. The origin of the name came from the coincidence that both Youchen and his little bro, Jhonatan, won the Randomest pledge award and the Friendliest pledge award during their term. All members of the Random Friendly Line have a unique and epic title. Royal was later added as a defining feature of our line and majestic status.


One of the older named lines of Tight Family and is the last living descendant of Spring 2008 namesake Aaron Lipton. Royal line was once very active in Iota Phi, especially in reveal comm. The line saw a decline in activity and membership by Fall 2014 Krenek term as members either graduated or migrated away from the fraternity. It was revived Heismeyer term when Wu class member Ethan Bell picked up Linda Tran after his return from a year and a half long departure from Iota Phi, having finished experiencing a mental odyssey through the oblivion that is his Statistics major.


As of Spring 2018 Nguyen term Royal line yet lives, celebrating the decennial anniversary of its progenitor, the King.

Facts

  • Each member of the Random Friendly Line is crazy and random in our own unique way. Some of us like to go skydiving, a few of us have been in jail, some play with fire extinguishers, some play with actual fire, and others want giant statues made of them. Our randomness is limitless...
  • At one point was known as the Minority Line
  • The line is usually referred to with the shortened form Royal Line, and its members referred to as Royalty.

  • Prominent symbol is the crown, found in different styles
    • As of Heismeyer, Ethan has worked to incorporate the Fleur-de-lis (Another historical symbol of royalty) as another staple symbol of the line
