Hondas are second to no car manufacturer. Created by a racer/business man by the name of Soichiro Honda, Honda motors were built from scratch in post WWII Japan based on a generator engine that was modified to run on turpentine that Honda himself distilled from pine trees. Dedicated to racing from the start, Honda motorcycles became regular champions in every motorcycle league imagainable and later introduced super economical cars to the world. This was timely since the major oil gurus of the Middle East had successfully raised gasoline prices throughout the world. As the decades went on, Honda became the creator of dual overhead cam technology as well as variable valve timing and lift, which has since been emulated, yet never fully copied, by every major car company in current existence. Mugen, Honda's F1 and performance tuner was founded by Soichiro's son, though it was never funded by Honda Motors itself. Since Soichiro death, his son has become the majority stock holder of the company. With such a rich history, there is little comparison to be made.
