Bay to Breakers is one of Iota Phi's (and Section 4's) longest running service projects. Over the years the project has changed however, as different management has changed what volunteer opportunities exist. Until about [[S2k2]], the event was a fundraiser for everyone who attended, however, after that point race volunteers stopped being compensated.
