A photo of the National Man Mile Award presented to Iota Phi at Nationals 2004. The Man-Mile Award is presented at regional and national conferences to the chapter that sends the most members over the greatest distance. Iota Phi won this particular award by sending 31 members to the national convention in Denver, Colorado. This victory can be linked to good use of the Leadership Development Fund (LDF). In 2004, the chapter used the LDF to encourage all members to attend rather than just voting delegates. Iota Phi winning Man-Mile awards at future conferences largely depends on how well the chapter promotes these fun, valuable events and whether it can use the LDF to make trips affordable for people who want to attend.
