Good call on adding "Hometown", Kristal. I'm going to make the code on this page look nicer when I get the time. [[User:Ashish Bhatt|Ashish Bhatt]] 16:54, 25 November 2009 (PST) | |||

Hmm, well I thought this would've been cool. The problem in using this is that it only appears above the Table of Contents (TOC) box rather than running parallel to it. MediaWiki doesn't come equipped with the css class to do it itself, so someone has to make it. I was told you have to wrap __TOC__ in a float at the same level as the Infobox. Guess I gotta be less of an amateur and learn the css to do this. Better soon than never I suppose! Ashish Bhatt 23:08, 29 June 2009 (PDT)
- The obvious solution would be to stop using titles that result in info boxes; especially on people's pages, they don't do much other than ugly it up. Aaron 09:05, 30 June 2009 (PDT)
- I'm not sure what you mean by "titles that result in info boxes" unless you're talking about the table of contents box, but infoboxes will have a place in the future. When articles get really long and have a lot of content worth keeping, Infoboxes cut back on sections about bullet-point background info and leave more room for substance. For example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha_Phi_Omega. It's a lot cleaner-looking than having a section on miscellaneous info like colors and flowers. Admittedly, members don't need an infobox right now. I just wanted to try this to see if it would work.
- Also, in case you don't want a table of contents box on your page, you can remove it by putting __NOTOC__ somewhere on it.
