Became an elected excomm office in 2006. Press Secs take the place of the Rush Chair position in overseeing the tabling in Rush Week. Press Secs also took the place of the PR Chair.

Part of ExComm

Usually two officers whose duties are:

1. To serve as chairperson of the Publicity committee.

2. To formulate a publicity program for the chapter in order to raise awareness in the public of chapter events.

3. To maintain publicity contacts with campus service organizations, local charitable groups, local media (television, print, radio, and online), and with the national fraternity publicity office.

4. To formulate a listing of publicity contacts and a record of the term's publicity campaign for use for future Press Secretaries.

5. To create and maintain publication and outreach materials in order to facilitate the publicity and Rush campaigns for the new term.

6. To direct letters of appreciation, on chapter stationery, to persons and organizations that have cooperated with chapter projects.

7. Working with the Corresponding Secretaries to submit material to the Torch and Trefoil for Iota Phi.
