About the Curse
Whenever J-Chan (Jonathan Chan) picks up a sponsoree, they DP. This has occurred the past 4 terms (Serrano Class, Zlatkovich Class, Chew Class, Chandler Class). Outsiders (Vivie Nguyen and David Lac) have attempted to defeat the curse by sharing sponsorees with J-Chan, but both have surcummed to the curse's wraith in one way or another with the shared sponsoree of David and J-Chan turning out to prove that there is a far worst fate than having a sponsoree that simply DPs...
Spring 2012 marked the end of an era of the J-Chan curse since Jonathan Chan graduated as a student of UC Davis. However, he may at some point strike from the dead and pick up a sponsoree as an alumni.
FACT: The curse can (and probably will) be transferred to the next "J-Chan", signaling a new chapter in the curse.
