	Eta Eta was chartered to Arizona State college on February 27, 1949. The founding President was Preston G. Martin, a senior in Biological Science, of Glendale, Arizona. The group applied for their charter on October 12, 1948. The first member of Eta Eta was Malcolm Adams. 	In the Fall of 2004, Eta Eta continued to grow. After another vigorous and successful Rush, Eta Eta initiated 13 pledges. As of Spring of 2005 Eta Eta had 15 active members. ==History==

Eta Eta was chartered to Arizona State college on February 27, 1949. The founding President was Preston G. Martin, a senior in Biological Science, of Glendale, Arizona. The group applied for their charter on October 12, 1948. The first member of Eta Eta was Malcolm Adams. The chapter continued to function until 1951 or 1952 with a total of 94 members before going inactive.

On August 29, 1982 Eta Eta re-chartered as a Coed chapter. The re-chartering President was John Marks Skarphol of Tempe, Arizona.

Eta Eta was going strong until 2000. Many of the actives at that time graduated within the year which left just a few members to carry on chapter operations. The remaining members were too busy with school obligations to put time into the chapter causing Eta Eta to no longer be a registered chapter at Arizona State University. However, Eta Eta remained in good standing with the National Office.

Eta Eta went dormant until the Fall of 2001, when Frank (Henson) Brodsky contacted a few of the remaining members to check on the chapter. At that time there were only 3 members still registered with Arizona State University, which was not enough to register as an organization. By the fall semester of 2002 with the help of a few transfer students (Eryn Emken, Diana Branson) from various university Eta Eta was again registered at Arizona State University. Eta Eta was able to stay in good standing with National by submitting Annual Active Membership Dues (AAMD's) for the first time in almost 2 years. Eta Eta would have lost it's charter by November 15, 2002 if AAMD's were not sent in.

With a renewed dedication to keeping Eta Eta going the chapter began to recruit new members in the Spring of 2003. That semester, there were 4 pledges in the first pledge class since Fall 2000 and Spring 2001. In Fall 2003 there were 3 members in the pledge class. Eta Eta was still small, but the pledges and active members were dedicated to the ideals of Alpha Phi Omega.

In the Spring of 2004 with about 10 active members, Eta Eta had a vigorous recruiting campaign and service projects planned in advance. That semester, Eta Eta activated 6 new members. Eta Eta also attended their first Section Conference in a long time at the University of Arizona by sending one active and two pledges. At the conference, Eta Eta was recognized with a certificate acknowledging their 55th anniversary, which was on February 27, 2004. Attendees were inspired by the members of [[Theta Iota]] and other section chapters and came away with ideas for Eta Eta.
