The Alpha Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega was chartered on the San Diego State University campus on June 14, 1932. It is one of the oldest chapters in the Fraternity. For reasons unknown, the chapter became inactive on February 10, 2001. In the Fall of 2005, Michael Toy, a freshman at San Diego State University (SDSU), contacted the [[Section 2]] staff and was interested in rechartering the Alpha Delta chapter. He quickly gathered a group of students who were enthusiastic and determined to regain Alpha Delta's chapter. Lead by two graduate students at SDSU who were also APO Alumni, Jamie Tran and David Wilson, this group of students began the rechartering process. The chapter was re-chartered on May 10, 2008.
