Until 2003, Region X conferences were held between Christmas and New Years, much like Nationals however they typically started on the 28th rather than the 27th and were three days long.

Culture and Traditions
Logo
The Official Region X Logo was designed in February, 2007, by Paul De Leon of Gamma Beta Chapter at San Jose State University.

Like many of Alpha Phi Omega's logos, the Region X Logo is rich in symbolism. The Region Ten Text highlights the letters "I" and "O" to represent the numerical number "10." The four lines underlining the text is symbolic to the four sections in Region X (Sections 1, 2, 4, and 13). The "X" is used in the background to symbolize the roman numeral "10." The circle in the far background represents the fellowship circle of Alpha Phi Omega. The three circles containing the greek letters of Alpha Phi Omega represents the three principles: Leadership, Friendship, and Service. The colors of blue and gold is symbolic to the fraternity's colors. The white color adds contrast to the design to allow the blue and gold colors to stand out in pride.

A lapel pin containing the logo, pictured right, has been produced, and can be purchased in person at region and section conferences for $5 from the Region X Director.<ref name="regionxlogo">"." ===Region X Belly Dooley===

The Region X Belly Dooley is the official symbol of the Region X Director. It is a medallion worn around the neck of the current Region Director at all official functions and events. The medallion was supplied by Alpha Phi Omega's National Archivist, Bob Barkhurst, and the surrounding feathers were supplied by Past APO National President, Bobby Hainline. It was originally a hood ornament for a Cadillac, and since Bobby worked for Ford Motor Company, he had access to them.

The tradition began when Dave Emery was Region Director, and has continued ever since. The name, "Belly Dooley," originated when Dave wore the idol, being short in stature, it hung from his neck down to his belly. So one of the students coined the term, "Belly Dooley," and the name has stuck. The tradition is similar to the Alpha Phi Omega National President's Dumaflagee.

Each successive Region Director adds something to the Belly Dooley. The ribbon was contributed by Dave Emery, as well as the pouch in which it is stored. Allen Wong added the large Petitioning Pin to the back of the medallion. Allen's big focus was extension, and the Petitioning Pin was an error on the part of the jeweler. The pin was about 4 times too large in diameter for its intended use, so Alan found a home for it. Teri Sheets added the Phoenix National Convention Pin immediately beneath the medallion, commemorating the great success of the cooperative effort of Region X's chapters in 1996. Beth Tom added the realignment and state abbreviation beads. At the start of her term of office, Region X split off Region XI, and the five remaining states are Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah. Kevin Simpson added the star pins representing the section numbers, 1, 2, 4, and 13. The stars are scouting year pins.

Franklin Brodsky added a pin containing the Region X Logo, as seen above. The Belly Dooley was stolen in January of 2008, along with the backpack in which it was being carried. Franklin reconstructed the Belly Dooley from replica parts during 2008, and brought Belly Dooley II to the 2008 National Convention in Boston, Massachusetts.<ref name="regionxbellydooley">"." Big Bro/Little Bro Chair

2011-10-14T20:54:00Z

Rogerthat:

Individuals holding this chair position, appointed by the Pledge Parents, help the Pledge Parents with big bro/lil bro pairings. They are expected to know most of the actives, come to many events to get to know the pledges, and spend many long, grueling nights coming up with the most perfect sets of pairings possible. There are one to two BB/LB chairs per family, ensuring that each family is represented when the pairings are underway.

Banquet

2011-05-03T07:34:03Z

Rogerthat:

{{EventReport
|Title=Banquet
|Length=4-5 hours
|Size=150-200 people
|Type=Fellowship
|Location=Varies from term to term; we have used facilities on campus, off campus, and even on a boat.
|Description=An end of the year celebration, acknowledging the term and the newly-crossed actives. The night consists of a lot of pictures, food, and and awards ceremony.
|Objective=The objective is to celebrate the previous term and the new actives. Many awards such as service cow (most service hours) and fellowdog (most fellowships attended) are given out, as well as sillier awards such as class clown or mostly likely to rule the world. Furthermore, it is used to swear in the upcoming term's officers.
|Materials=The preparation includes: decorations, catering, photographer, etc.
The actual night varies during the awards show, as each position presenting brings their own awards/gifts.
|time1=5:00pm
|step1=Set-up the decorations
|time2=7:00pm
|step2=Check-ins
|time3=8:00pm
|step3=Dinner is served
|time4=9:00pm
|step4=Awards ceremony begins. Each ex-comm position presents their awards and acknowledgments, and then introduces the upcoming officers. At the end of the ceremony the new officers are sworn in.
|time5=11:30pm
|step5=Clean-up
|exissues=Sometimes unexpected things may happen with the venue, such as a double-booking. Like planning any big event, many things can go wrong during this event such as sound equipment and parking issues. Sometimes not enough people are willing to go, and the chapter may lose money.

|rmissues=Some people may want to start the after-party earlier.
